Two founders. One idea. NOVOS hasn’t always been the ‘NOVOS’ you know today.
In 2018, Sam and Antonio launched statement.digital wanting to bridge the gap between agencies who promised, but underdelivered organic growth for eCommerce brands. A few months later, Antonio quit his in-house job at Gentleman’s Journal to focus on the agency full time. Sam joined a few months later after leaving his role leading Made.com's international SEO.
Fast forward to now, NOVOS is a leading international Search agency covering SEO/GEO, Digital PR, Paid Media & AI Search, working with a wide range of internationally recognised eCommerce brands including Adidas, TALA, Heal’s, Osprey, Vitabiotics and Ruggable to name a few. We're a growth partner that helps to exploit the gaps that are emerging between paid media, SEO and visibility across LLMs.

























2018
Sam and Antonio launched statement.digital whilst both still employed at their in-house roles (naughty, naughty). Antonio then quit his role at Gentleman’s Journal to focus on the agency fulltime and grow the hell out of it and he’s not looked back since to our knowledge.
2019
2019 marked the first year Sam and Antonio focused on statement.digital together, executing the agency’s first rebrand, moving into a co-working space and hiring their first team members in a truly historic moment for the agency.
2020
After the initial COVID lockdown eased, we grew quickly and faster than we’d anticipated, which led to us hiring 2 new team members per month for the next 14 months. Not to mention that we won 3 awards in 1 week.
2021
2021 was the year we hit some major business milestones. Exactly 2 years after hiring our very first employees, we hit the million-pound mark, won more prestigious awards and featured in the 100 Best Workplaces!
2022
After a successful year of growth, it was time to futureproof the agency, taking onboard our learnings so far. We also became employee-owned after scaling the agency to over 30 people and doubled our revenue in just one year. Pretty impressive stuff!
2023
2023 marked the year of stabilisation for the agency. With the economy not in the best shape, it was time we improved our processes, efficiencies and prepared for what was to come over the next few years as we continued to expand our team and services.
2024
Following an incredibly successful year working with leading eCommerce brands in the UK and internationally, we had to make a plan for what the future of the agency looks like. A new strategy, and a new chapter for NOVOS.
2025
Following the launch of NOVOS 2.0, Antonio found out he was having twin girls and had to take a few months out to figure that out. In the meantime, 2025 brought about the biggest change to our industry since the internet boom. With the rise of AI, we had to adapt our strategies and develop an internal AI-squad to ensure we were staying ahead of the game for clients.
2026
With Antonio back, it was time to push forward with our goals in a new era with AI. We announced NOVOS 2.1 - with the only adaptation to 2.0 is that we now introduce paid media as a new service line for the first time, by hiring Benoit to grow the department. We also hired Jade as our first Head of Growth, and invest in a totally new rebrand to align us for the future of our industry. We're moving away from being an SEO + PR agency, to a full agentic-ready search agency, owning the entire discovery stage for our eCommerce clients. We also open a second office, trialling a new North base in Sheffield. It's a big year for NOVOS.



Delivery Director
Dan, our Delivery Director, joined NOVOS as an SEO Manager in 2019 and has progressed through the ranks. He is also phenomenal at solving client problems and knowing exactly the high standards we want to deliver. In his spare time he has his dog Jasper, likes to run, and also supports QPR which is so bad. Dan is the only man we know who can go transparent.

Paid Media Director
With over 7 years of experience in performance-driven digital growth, Benoit is the latest Director to join the NOVOS team. His focus is on connecting Paid Media with our SEO and AI visibility work to unlock smarter, more cohesive growth. A specialist in Google Ads, YouTube and full-funnel strategy, Benoit also bring a strong focus on eCommerce profitability and measurement.

Head of Client Services
Laura joined us in the middle of a global pandemic, and we didn't actually meet her F2F for 4 months. Laura is phenomenal with clients, hence the role she's now in after starting as an SEO strategist, making her way to an SEO manager and now heading up Client Services. She was our first Employee Trustee representing all co-owners (employees) on the Trust and recently her term ended. Laura also needs to know every Novi's favourite type of crisps for some reason (we're not sure what she's planning to do with that information). Every client that works with Laura seems to think she's the best person they've met. I don't think they've met Sam yet though, did you know he grew Made's non-brand organic chann....

Head of Operations
Nine – the mastermind initially behind our content production team and now is the brains behind the operations (or at least we like to tell her she is). Nine has an excellent ability to get anything done in a calm way & is the most results-oriented person we know. She is a big Taylor Swift fan and also a lead researcher/conspirator/whistleblower into Jake Gyllenhaal & Taylor Swift's supposed relationship.
